Description

House of Kinnaber is an L-plan, three-storey mansion that dates back to 1680. The east-facing front has five windows and features a moulded cill-course at the ground floor. There is an architraved central doorway, which is now enclosed in a lightly constructed porch addition. The northeast corner has a circular tower, and there is a bow-fronted addition on the west side that contains a staircase, likely from the early 18th century, which creates an approximately symmetrical north frontage. The interior was largely remodelled around 1790, with two tripartite windows added on the south and west re-entrant frontages.
