Description

Originally: L-plan, 3-storey with 4-storey and attic S.W.

tower with circular staircase tower intaken at 1st floor

level in N.E. re-entrant angle. Scroll skews to tower,

corbelled turrets at extreme S.W. and S.E. angles. One

ceiling of 1598 with later frieze otherwise remodelled early

18th cent. and 1747. Circa 1790 wings added N.E. and

N.W. making symmetrical N frontage with recessed centre:

c. 1820 single storey and basement entrance hall with R-doric

porch inserted, and library formed in N.E. wing. 2-storey

office wing 18th cent. refronted on S. and additions. Mid

19th cent.

Harled with margins throughout.
