Description

Cardross Bridge, built in 1774, is a three-span bridge featuring segmental arches and measures 200 feet in length. The bridge has coped parapet walls and splayed approaches. It is constructed from rubble, with bull-faced piers and cutwaters, and rough dressed voussoirs and copes. The piers are enhanced with triangular cutwaters. The parapet was rebuilt around 1972.
