Description

The Old Market Cross in Forfar dates back to 1684 and was moved to its current location in 1799. It is an octagonal structure that stands 20 feet high, made of ashlar stone and featuring sculptured panels and battlements. An iron external stair was added in 1844, and the original shaft is missing.
