Description
The Municipal Buildings on Castle Street in Forfar were designed by David Neave in 1821 and completed in 1824 as the Sheriff Court House. This two-storey building is constructed of red ashlar stone and features a five-window west front with a tetrastyle Ionic column order. The east front also has five windows and is adorned with a tetrastyle Ionic pilaster order. The north side has a three-window bow gable with pilasters, while the south side features a three-window gable. The interior has been partly altered.
