Description

Eastern House, located at 75 Castle Street in Forfar, dates from around 1800. It is a two-storey building with a basement and features a three-window façade. The entrance includes a plain architraved doorpiece and cavetto splay railed steps leading to the door. At the back, there is a semi-octagonal stair projection. The building was re-categorised from grade B to grade C(S) in 2006, reflecting its group interest, which includes considerations for both the interior and exterior as relevant to its type.
