Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay, L-plan house in irregular terrace with shop at ground. Stugged sandstone ashlar to front, harled to rear, eaves cornice, blocking course, central parapet.

E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: shopfront to right at ground, door to centre, 2 windows to right, 1 to left, plate glass, carriage entrance pend to left, blinded window to centre at 1st floor, timber-mullioned bipartites flanking.

W ELEVATION: gable end of wing to left, semi circular projecting stair tower to centre, conical roof, tall window rising through floors, bay to right, pend at ground, door to left in pend, window at 1st floor, piended dormer above.

S ELEVATION: adjoining 118 Murray Street to right, 3 blocked openings at ground to W wing, 1 window to left at 1st.

Modern timber casement windows. Grey slate roof; stone coped skews, skewputts; broad brick gablehead stack to S, shouldered brick gablehead stack to N.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.
