Description

The Walled Garden and Belvedere at Stracathro House features a half-moon plan with hot-houses located against the north wall. A belvedere tower rises above the garden, and there is a nearly symmetrical range of ashlar sheds that flank the belvedere tower on the north side. This structure was designed by architect Archibald Simpson around 1827 or shortly thereafter.
