Description
1 and 3 High Street in Brechin is a building dating from around 1815, constructed of ashlar stone. It stands three stories tall with an attic facing Swan Street. The ground floor features pilastered shops. The High Street façade has a two-window pedimented front, while the Swan Street side has a four-window front, with the right-hand windows being blind. There is a slightly advanced two-window pedimented section on this side, which includes a tympanum attic light and a chimney stack that rises through the pediment. The first-floor windows are framed with architraves, and the roofs are slated.
