Description

18th century, remodelled mid 19th century. 2-storey, attic and basement, 4-bay tenement, rectangular with mid 19th century addition forming L-plan and terminating close. Harled, band course above ground floor, chamfered and droved ashlar margins.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: bay to right with window for raised principal floor, small additional window beneath cill, stone mullioned bipartite centred above with head breaking eaves. Bay to left; corniced doorpiece at ground, panelled door, 3-pane rectangular fanlight, window at 1st above. Bay to left; basement window, window for principal floor above, stone mullioned bipartite at 1st with head breaking eaves. Bay to extreme left with flat roofed addition at ground, window at 1st floor and 2 dormers above.

E ELEVATION: brick-built flat roofed addition at basement and ground with concrete forestair, blank wall of W wing above.

6, 8 and 12-pane timber sash and casewindows. Grey slate pitched roof to main block, flat roof to W wing. Brick stack to S of W wing.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.

BOUNDARY WALLS: rubblestone boundary walls to W.
