Description

18th century. 2-storey shallow L-plan house spanning and terminating close. Lined render to front, architraved margins at ground to front.

E (ELEVATION): asymmetrical. Timber Doric columned portico with entablature, panelled entrance door off-set to right, small window at 1st floor centred above, window to left at ground. Wall extended above gate to extreme left abutting 190 High Street. Single bay return of L-plan to right; window at ground and 1st floors.

S ELEVATION: gable end abutting 190 High Street.

W ELEVATION: full-height bowed stairtower to right, bay to left with dormer above.

Timber sash and case windows. Grey slate pitched roofs, stone skews. Truncated gablehead stack to S.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.

BOUNDARY WALLS: rubble stone boundary walls enclosing garden to rear (west).
