Description
The house at Kirkton of Cushnie, formerly the manse, dates to the 18th century and has later alterations from 1803. It is a single-storey, two-window-wide building with a central door. The exterior is harled, with chamfered margins. There is a high, dormerless attic. Skews are inscribed with "17" and an illegible marking. Two panels bear inscriptions: "W.B.M.M. 1724" and "JOHN LEYS 1803". Before 1900, the house had lower windows on the first floor, which have since been blocked up. Inscriptions were cemented over in 1967.
