Description

Winds'Eye Farm in Corse is a mid to late 19th century single-storey U-plan farm building group, featuring an L-plan farmhouse to the south that adjoins an L-plan steading to the north, creating a courtyard. The construction is of squared and snecked granite rubble, with large rybats and lintels over the openings, and long and short quoins.

The south elevation is a symmetrical three-bay single-storey and attic cottage, with a harled double bay addition to the right and a piended roof sloping to the right. It has a central advanced timber gabled porch flanked by small rectangular windows in the outer bays. The outer bays also feature timber-framed canted roof dormers.

The north elevation, which is the rear, consists of a four-bay single-storey former steading that ends in a gable to the right, with a piended roof returning to the east on the left side. There is a single small square window in the centre.

On the east side elevation, there are six bays, with a four-bay steading on the right and a harled two-bay cottage addition on the left. The corner bay of the cottage is slightly advanced, featuring a further advanced bowed five-light window in the centre.

The west elevation, facing the courtyard, has irregular fenestration with a rear door located to the centre right of the rear section. There is also an outhouse with a cat-slide roof situated in the centre of the right side, adjacent to the cottage wing.

The windows are predominantly four-pane timber-framed sash and case. The roof is covered with grey slates and features lead flashing, coped skews, and gable stacks. The interior was not seen in 2002.
