Description

Leochel Cushnie House, formerly the Manse, is an L-plan building dating from 1797-8, with significant alterations around 1845. The original section is a two-storey, three-window harled structure. Around 1845, a broad, caved porch with a consoled door-piece was added, along with a back wing. The heritors’ records do not extend far enough to provide earlier details and it is likely that J. & W. Smith, who undertook other reconstruction work, were responsible for the alterations of around 1845.
