Description

4 Low Shore in Whitehills is a single-storey, three-bay cottage dating from around 1800. The building is constructed of rubble with contrasting painted margins and joints on the front. It features a central entrance and slightly irregular window arrangement, with a single window in the seaward gable. The small windows have 4-pane glazing. The cottage has coped end stacks, with the southern gable stacks having renewed copes and the northern gable featuring an early cope. The roof is covered with slate, likely replacing the original thatch, and includes roof lights. There is a later lean-to extension at the southern gable.
