Description

North Lodge, dated 1819, is a lodge situated at Fyvie Castle. It features a semi-circular arched pend with a three-window lodge above. Circular angle towers are corbelled out towards the top and finished with conical roofs, and the building has a corbelled and crenellated parapet. Crenellated screen walls extend at right angles to spired circular piers. The lodge is constructed of pinned rubble with red sandstone dressings. Its right-angled arrangement is due to its original location at a bend in the road.
