Description
Old Home Farm at Fyvie Castle comprises a main courtyard dating from around 1777, with further courts added around 1820 and shortly after. A dove cot pend tower is located on the east side of the main courtyard, featuring a semi-circular arch, a moulded window with keystones on the first floor, and a pyramid roof. Above the north side is a segmental arch with a panel and pediment. A clock gable and bellcote are present at the west courtyard. The original parts of the farm buildings are harled, and some recent alterations have been made. Historical records indicate improvements were made after 1816, including the construction of coachhouses, stables, a threshing mill house, and a grain loft.
