Goods Sheds, Stonehaven Railway Station

The Goods Sheds at Stonehaven Railway Station, likely built in the late 19th century, consist of a tall single-storey timber structure with a rectangular plan, originally serving as a goods shed and now functioning as a motor workshop. Adjoining this is a low single-storey brick range.

On the southwest entrance elevation, there is a lower gabled bay that projects to the left, featuring a partly-boarded window on the outer left and a vertically-boarded timber door to the right. To the right of this, a taller set-back gable includes a broad garage-type door.

The northwest elevation of the timber goods shed is divided into five vertically-aligned bays, with the central bay containing a broad two-leaf vertically-boarded garage-type door that has a pedestrian opening, along with a small fascia to the right. The lower brick range slightly projects at the outer right, featuring a window to the left and a large tripartite window to the right.

The northeast entrance elevation has a gabled design with a large garage-type door on the left. The building features multi-pane glazing patterns in fixed timber windows, grey slate roofing, and a small coped brick stack. The eaves overhang with plain bargeboarding and exposed rafters adds to its architectural character.
