Description
24 The Square in Huntly is a building that is believed to have been started in the late 17th century for William Forsyth, although the current structure appears to date from around 1760. It is a three-storey, six-bay building featuring a central pend arch and a semi-circular wallhead gable with a chimney and club-skews. The exterior is made of granite ashlar with chamfered margins, and there are two shops that were added later. Additionally, there is a two-storey section at right angles in the courtyard, which has semi-circular steps. A two-storey drawing room wing with a blind attic is stuccoed and set back from The Square, accompanied by a small front garden.
