Description

5 Fife Street in Banff is a building dating from around 1800. It was originally a single two-storey house but has since been divided and its frontage has been significantly altered. The exterior is harled with painted margins. The central door leads to No 7, while there is a later doorway on the left for No 8. The windows display irregular spacing and include plate glass as well as four-pane timber sash and case glazing. The building features coped end stacks on the left, which are shared with No 3, and has a slate roof that includes modern Velux lights.
