Description
20 High Street in Pittluie is a cottage dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is a single-storey building with a dormerless attic and has a gable end facing the street. The cottage features three bays and includes a continuous single-storey, two-bay addition at the south gable, which was likely a former dwelling or fishing store. The exterior is constructed of heavily pointed rubble with tooled rubble dressings and contrasting painted reveals. The central entrance is obscured by a substantial modern lean-to addition that has a doorway in the south re-entrant angle. There is a ground floor window on the street gable accompanied by a very small attic window, both with two-pane glazing. The building has end and ridge stacks and is topped with a corrugated asbestos roof.
