Description

Craigielar Cottages in Pennan is a terrace of two cottages, likely originally three dwellings, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The cottages are situated on a sloping site, with a full two-storey elevation visible from the northeast, facing the sea. The front is harled with contrasting painted margins, while the other sides are rendered and lined to resemble ashlar. The seaview cottage on the left features a four-bay frontage with one doorway flanked by windows and a second entrance in a projecting gabled porch. The denview cottage on the right has a two-storey main frontage with a central door and flanking windows. Both cottages primarily have four-pane glazing, with coped end and ridge stacks, and a slate roof.
