Description
1 St Tarquins Place in Fordyce Village is a pair of cottages built around 1940, designed in the Canadian Timber Commissioners style. Each pair consists of two single-storey and attic dwellings, each with two bays. The cottages feature weatherboarded cladding, with doors located in the outer bays under a canopy supported by timber posts that just break the wallhead. Each dwelling has flanking windows with casements and a similar window in each gable. There is a low single-storey, single-bay wing set back at each gable, which also has single-pane casement windows. At the rear, each dwelling has two swept dormers, a rear wallhead stack, and concrete tiled roofs.
