Description

46 Anchors Close in Pennan is a mid-19th century building, possibly with an earlier core. It is a two-storey L-plan range that now functions as a single dwelling, with its gable end facing the sea. The exterior is rendered and lined to resemble ashlar, featuring contrasting painted margins. There are paired doorways with plank doors and a small ground floor window in the seaward gable. A projecting wing is located at the southern portion of the house (No 47), and the windows have 4- and 12-pane glazing. The building has coped end and ridge stacks, topped with pantiled roofs.
