Description
This mid 19th century L-plan mill is two stories high with an attic. It is constructed from coursed pink grey rubble granite with pinnings. The windows feature lying-pane glazing, with some being casement type and having timber mullions.
On the east elevation, there are four bays with a sunk ground floor. The ground is banked to steps and a loading platform that connects to a first-floor door, which was used for dispatching husked grain to the main mill across the road.
The west elevation has a projecting 2-by-2-bay gantry and a lean-to on the north side.
The south gable features an octagonal cast-iron axle of an overshot wheel located in an ashlar wheelpit.
The roof is slate, gabled, and piended.
The interior has not been seen. There is a rubble-built boundary wall at the rear. The lade approaches from the other side of the burn, supported by a series of mass concrete supports, although the wooden launder is now missing.
