Description
This is a coach-house and stables dating to around 1840, built in the style of architects James and William Smith. The building is a simple two-storey example of Tudor Revival architecture. It is harled (roughcast) with margins defining the joints, and the openings are chamfered. The main front has five bays, with the central gable slightly projecting. A depressed carriage arch, stepped over three lights and with a hood mould, is centrally located, with an ornamental shield set above it in ashlar. There are two windows on either side of the arch, with the ground floor windows being of a low proportion. The roof is slated, with coped skew ends featuring deep skew ends.
