Description
This is an 18th-century steading, reconstructed in the 19th century, located on a corner site in Fettercairn. The complex includes two-storey houses and single-storey farm buildings.
The houses are constructed of rubble and have a three-window façade facing north-west and a four-window façade facing south-east, with some windows on the south-east side appearing blind. They feature wide, architraved doorpieces with inset pilasters and long, rectangular fanlights above. The windows are 12-pane sashes. The roofs are slated with straight skews, piended at the angle, and the stacks have been largely rebuilt in brick.
The single-storey farm buildings, also rubble-built and with piended slated roofs, include cartsheds with timber lintels and a forestair with a timber rail.
