Description
West Lodge is a gate lodge located on the Pitfour House Estate, likely designed by John Smith around 1820. It is a single-storey building with an unusual layout, featuring a transversely-set central axial stack on a gabled front that has three bays and a central door. The glazing is also distinctive, with margined panes. The lodge is constructed of coursed rubble with squared dressings, and it has ashlar skews and stack, topped with a slate roof. There is a rear wing attached to the lodge.
