Description
This building at 32 Anderson Drive in Aberdeen is an earlier 20th-century single-storey and attic bungalow featuring three bays. It is constructed from tooled granite ashlar with a rough-faced base course, chamfered cills, and an eaves course.
The principal elevation is symmetrical, showcasing a deeply chamfered keystoned round-arched doorway in the center bay. This doorway contains a panelled segmental-arched timber door with a glazed upper light, flanked by panelled and glazed side lights. On either side of the doorway, there are three-light canted bay windows topped with parapets that have a round-arched central facet. The attic features a pair of canted slate-hung dormers, each adorned with terracotta finials at the apexes of their piended roofs.
The southeast and northeast elevations were not visible in 2001. The northwest elevation displays irregular fenestration on the ground floor and a substantial box dormer on the attic floor. The ground floor includes 2-pane timber sash and case windows, while the attic floor has small-pane casement windows. The roof is covered with piended purple-grey slate, featuring lead and tiled ridges, and there are coped wallhead stacks with circular cans. The rainwater goods are predominantly made of PVCu.
The interior was not seen in 2001. The property also includes gatepiers and boundary walls, featuring battered square-plan rough-faced granite piers on the southwest side with a low wall between them, and high rubble walls surrounding the remainder of the property.
