Description
A two-bay/ two-storey house, with single storey block on right gable, on south side of Killowen Road. Pitched natural slated roof with central cement rendered and coped chimney. Terracotta tile verges. Semicircular metal rainwater goods are part missing. Walls are whitewashed lime render with raised eaves course. Principal façade faces away from road, to sea. All windows to main block have painted granite cills unless otherwise stated. Centred to each floor of each bay is a single 2/2 (vertically divided) sliding sash window. Facade is abutted at right by a gabled two-storey porch, the right cheek of which is flush with the right gable. Its roof is pitched and natural slated with ridge meeting eaves of main roof. Its walls are rendered brick with a t+g sheeted painted timber door to right cheek. There is a fixed 3x2 timber window to ground floor of gable and small 2x3 fixed timber window to left cheek, with similar opening above blocked up. All have timber cills. Left gable is devoid of openings except for a two paned casement at first floor right. Rear elevation is abutted to left bay by a derelict lean-to outshot. Remaining wall is as facade and devoid of openings but for a 1/1 sliding sash with timber cill at first floor left. Outshot has a natural slate lean-to roof (part damaged) with no rainwater goods. Its walls are as main building with a small fixed timber window, with timber, on left cheek. Right gable of main block is abutted by a single storey block and wall above is blank. The single storey block is two openings wide and has a pitched natural slate roof with no rainwater goods. Walls are as main block and there is a sheet metal door to right bay and a 2/2 sliding sash window to left bay on principal facade. All other walls on this block are blank.
