The building is a sign located at 3 Downshire Road (also known as 2 Sandy’s Place) in Newry, County Down. It has been replaced; the original sign is now demolished. A modern “replica” gaslamp standard has been installed in its place, with a modern metal sign affixed to the top. The site is within the Carneyhough townland and situated within a conservation area. The sign formerly served as a garden feature. It is currently of commercial ownership and holds no architectural or historical significance.
