Description
Three storey building set in a terrace, on the north side of Margaret Street. Roof is pitched with modern tiles and plastic rainwater goods and single rendered chimneys to left and right gables with two moulded clay pots per chimney. At ground floor is a large modern shopfront, with windows and doors in blue powder coated aluminium set within panels of polished granite with signage etched and gilded into fascia. Upper floor wall is rendered and decorated with banded rustication, with a moulded cill course to second floor and a moulded eaves course. Below cill course at second floor cill are embossed letters in bold Victorian type stating; ‘White Cross Hotel’ (E of hotel now missing). There are three windows to each floor. Those to first floor rest on the shop fascia. Those to second floor are diminished in height. All windows are modern 1/1 uPVC, with chamfered reveals and hood moulds, first floor hood moulds link together to form a stringcourse. Rear no access gained.
