West Lodge and West Cottage, Church Road, Bessbrook, Co. Armagh, BT35 7AQ

These buildings were surveyed in the First Survey but not listed. A partial record only was taken during the Second Survey as the buildings are not worthy of a full survey. A pair of near symmetrical one-and-a-half storey three bay lodges in random-coursed rock-faced Newry Granodiorite stone walling with red brick dressings, central doors have square-headed fanlights. Lodges flank original wrought iron entrance gates hung on square section stone pillars. Lodge to W surviving in more original condition with, natural slate roof, exposed moulded timber rafters to eaves, central chimney with two pots, original double hung sliding sash windows throughout with horizontal glazing bars. Lodge to E has single storey rear return to NW and a stone built flat roofed extension to E. Fibre cement roof with half dormer, uPVC top opening casement windows throughout and uPVC RWGs. Stone garden boundary walling.
