Description

This building was surveyed in the First Survey but not listed. Since then the building has been demolished and rebuilt as a shop and café known as the Beehive Enterprise Centre. This partial record was made during the Second Survey. Small open public garden known as the 'SHELTER and TIRSAH' remains (see datestone). Entrance to S has smooth render dwarf walling, with half-round stone coping, topped by painted hooped metal railings; capstones to square section entrance pillars display 'TIRSAH'. Decorative cast iron pillars support timber pergolas above paved walkway at N, W and E sides, central area is set to lawn. Datestone to N wall records erected in 1911 for the people of Bessbrook in memory of Helena and Jane Marion Richardson by James N. Richardson. Now owned by Bessbrook Development Company.
