This is a three-storey house, one of a pair, built between 1880 and 1899 on the west side of Dominic Street, Newry. The houses are arranged symmetrically, flanking a shared coach arch leading to the right. The building exhibits some streetscape value, though it is not considered of special architectural or historic interest.

The house has a pitched roof covered in artificial slate, with plastic rainwater goods and a brick chimney on the party wall shared with its neighbour and the central arch. The facade is rendered with lined cement, featuring a raised and stepped decorative quoin on the left side. The entrance, also on the left, features a transom light above a four-panelled door, with a rendered pilaster surround and a lozenge-panelled entablature above. To the right of the door is a single window, with two windows on both the first and second floors; all windows have granite cills and are 2/2 sliding sash windows with horns. The rear facade shows wall markings suggesting a former yard return, now demolished, with French windows at ground floor level to the yard. The first floor has a 2/2 sliding sash window on the left and a modern window on the right. The second floor has a single 2/2 sliding sash window.

The house was recorded in the Valuation Revision book as "in progress" in 1888 and was occupied from 1889. The site was previously occupied by brewery premises.
