The building is a house located in Strangford, County Down. A cast iron water pump, featuring a cow-tailed design and a lion motif, is situated at the rear of the house and was added before a full Second Survey of the property. The pump is mounted on a timber backboard and is comparable to pumps illustrated in Tipton’s 1912 catalogue, specifically those found in Lee Howl. It remains in working order, drawing water from a nearby well. The listing encompasses the house and the pump, with the building being located within a conservation area.
