Description

Granite boundary stone, possibly dating from c.1898, located between the end piers of the garden walls of nos.28 and 30 Armagh Road, about 1km N of Newry town centre. The stone is about 0.6m in height with what appears to be flat top, a curved dressed front and straight rock-faced sides. On the front face are the incised letters 'T & C' with 'R B' underneath, perhaps standing for Town & County (or Country) - Rural Boundary (or Borough). The back of the stone was not able to be seen due to thick plant growth.
