35 Main Street, Forkhill, Newry, Co Armagh, BT35 9SQ

35 Main Street, Forkhill, was originally a two-storey house constructed between 1820 and 1839. Shown on the 1835 Ordnance Survey map, the original house had a single-storey shed attached. It featured a slated roof and rough-cast walls. The windows were double-hung, with vertical astragals, though they had been replaced with recent steel casements. A panelled and glazed door provided access. A single-storey extension to the side was also present, with square double-hung windows and astragals, as well as a sheeted garage door. The house was reported to be in fair condition at the time of the 1970 survey, although the extension roof was noted as being in poor condition. The original building has since been demolished and replaced by a single-storey extension to the adjoining public house, reference HB16/15/009. The site is located in the townland of Shean. The building is recorded, but is not listed.
