A vernacular building stood on the site, dating from between 1820 and 1839. It was depicted on the 1834 Ordnance Survey 6-inch map and its likely character is suggested by the absence of a rateable valuation, indicating a single-storey vernacular building. The historical building records describe a single-storey cottage with harled walls and a slated roof. A projecting porch was situated under a roof extension. The windows were double-hung sashes divided into two panes with single vertical glazing bars. The building appeared to be three bays wide, with rendered chimneys on the left gable and one on either side of the central bay. It had a pitched natural slate roof with render skew to the left gable, slightly advanced eaves, and no rainwater goods. The walls were harled and painted, and the windows featured rendered cills. Each bay contained a single window, and the central bay was distinguished by a windbreak porch with a catslide roof. The building has since been demolished, and a new two-storey dwelling has been constructed in its place.
