Description

A one-storey/ two-bay dwelling on a rise overlooking the Clanrye River to west. Pitched natural slate roof, now dilapidated, over single purlins and common rafters. Brick chimney to centre of ridge. Half-round metal gutters to front on advanced granite eaves. Front elevation and left (north gable) walls of squared granite rubble blocks. Remaining walls of random rubble. Principal elevation faces west to river. At centre is a t+g sheeted door with rectangular transom over. An exposed box sash lights each bay. The actual sashes now gone on left bay; 6/6 sashes survive on right-hand window. Both openings have granite cills. Left gable blank. Rear elevation abutted at left by a rendered concrete block kitchen annex. Exposed section of wall blank. Right gable blank. Annex has a monopitched corrugated asbestos roof, smooth-rendered walls and metal fixed casement to north and south gables.
