Estate House, NW of 42 Ballymageogh Road, Mourne Park Estate, Kilkeel, Newry, Co Down, BT34

Ruinous single storey / two bay house, aligned N-S on a raised bank in the NW corner of a field, close to a gateway in the west wall of field which leads into demesne. Roof is gone but projecting brick eaves course indicates that canted to south and hipped to north. Coped and cement-rendered brick chimney on party wall between the two bays. Walls are squared granite rubble laid to courses. Main (East) elevation is two bays wide; that to right is wider than the other. Main entrance is at right side of left bay; two concrete steps rise to a doorway with granite cill; head gone. Right bay has a single window opening with brick dressings and dressed granite cill (head also gone); no frame survives. Left (south-facing) elevation is canted with a single window opening to each cheek; that on left cheek is infilled with brick. West elevation is almost completely abutted by a low lean-to. Roof has gone. Walls of rubble stone brought to courses. Most of its west wall has collapsed but a low cill indicates the former presence of a window. Left cheek has a small window. Right cheek is blank. Right gable (north elevation) has a central two paned timber casement window. At right it is abutted by a one-storey concrete block outhouse with shallow monopitched roof. On the party gable with the main house is what appears to be a doorway infilled with granite, although this is less obvious internally.
