Description

The Cullion Bridge carries a minor road over the Clanrye River, a small stream, and is likely to date from between 1780 and 1799. Constructed of random rubble with granite dressed voussoirs, the bridge features two small segmental arches. Small angled cutwaters rise to arch spring level on each face, and the parapets are coped with squared rubble blocks, with the northern parapet continuing as a field boundary. The road across the bridge has a gentle humped profile. The soffits of the bridge have been heavily repointed with cement. The bridge was marked on the 1834 Ordnance Survey map and is of industrial archaeological interest.
