Description
Larne Grammar School was built between 1886 and 1887 to designs by William J. Fennell, at a cost of £4,000. The site was given by Sir Edward Coey, along with £1,000, and the remaining £3,000 was provided by Mr John Crawford. The school was demolished circa the 1980s and the site has since been redeveloped with modern school buildings. References include the Irish Builder and Engineer of 1 August 1886 and The Book of Antrim by G.H. Bassett (1888). The building served as a school and was formerly located in the Town Parks area.
