Redhall Masonic Lodge, Island Road, Ballycarry, Larne, Co Antrim

The Redhall Masonic Lodge is a hall built between 1900 and 1919. It occupies a prominent position facing a main road within the village of Ballycarry, Larne, standing alongside other early 20th-century houses. The building is two storeys high and features a gabled design. The ground floor is constructed of red brick, while the upper floor has a rendered finish. The architecture draws on a Gothic style, evidenced by the pointed arched openings of the windows on the main entrance front. A single-storey projection with a flat roof was added later to the entrance front. The front door is of ledged timber construction, and the original timber window frames and glazing bars are retained on the front facade, although the windows to the rear have been replaced with modern units. The building first appeared on Ordnance Survey maps in 1921. It was formerly used as a hall and continues to serve that purpose, being owned and operated by a Masonic Lodge.
