Description
A single-arch road bridge, likely dating to around 1920-1925, constructed from squared basalt rubble. The bridge carries the Drumcrow Road over the Linford Water and is of local landscape importance. It is situated on a sharp bend in the road, approximately 5.5 miles south of Glenarm. The bridge features a tall single arch with a semicircular top and rusticated voussoirs. Battered abutments flank both sides of the arch, and a string course runs at road level. Low parapets are present, with rough coping on the south side and concrete coping on the north side. A bridge is not depicted on the 1905 Ordnance Survey map, but it does appear on the 1933 map. The bridge possesses industrial archaeological interest and is of local interest. It is owned by central government.
