Linford Bridge, Loughdoo Road, Linford, Glenarm, Ballymena, Co Antrim

The Linford Bridge, located on the Loughdoo Road approximately six miles south of Glenarm, is a small, single-arch road bridge likely dating to around 1840. Constructed primarily of basalt rubble, the bridge carries the Loughdoo Road over a small stream. It features a semicircular arch with roughly dressed voussoirs and splayed ends. A buttress is situated on the western face, north of the arch, and a small date stone is positioned above it. Metal grills have been affixed to the eastern face of the arch, one of which is a farm gate. Low basalt rubble parapets flank the structure on either side. A bridge appears on an Ordnance Survey map from 1857, but not on the 1832 map. The bridge is considered to be of industrial archaeological interest.
