This is a public water pump, constructed between 1900 and 1919 in Sixmilecross, County Tyrone. It is one of a group of public water fountains that served as a primary source of drinking water for the community. The pump features a plain, shaped, and fluted column, topped with an acorn finial and a lion’s mouth spout. An inscription on the column reads 'Glenfield & Kennedy Ltd, Kilmarnock'. Water troughs were shown along the street on Ordnance Survey maps from 1906 and 1937, though the pumps themselves are not explicitly marked on these maps. The pump has industrial archaeological interest and carries group value reflecting its local importance, social and cultural significance, and its setting within the town.
