Canal Bridge, Baronscourt, Newtownstewart, Co Tyrone, BT78 4EX

The Canal Bridge was a small, single-arched stone bridge built around 1800. It spanned a stream in the Barons Court townland, near Newtownstewart, County Tyrone. The bridge was constructed of rubble stone and featured a single arch, serving as a lane bridge. It is shown on the 1833 Ordnance Survey map, although it was not labelled. The bridge was demolished around 2000 and subsequently replaced by a modern structure of concrete and steel. No correspondence relating to the bridge was found within the Abercorn estate papers. The bridge holds industrial archaeological interest. It was previously recorded as HB10/04/050 A, but was delisted on 25th July 2011.
