Description
Magilligan Primary School is a single-storey primary school building located on Seacoast Road, Magilligan, near Limavady, County Londonderry. Constructed between 1940 and 1959, it is believed to be the work of Noel E Campbell, the County Education Architect of the 1950s. The building consists of interlocking blocks with flat roofs and monopitch sections, creating a notable composition when viewed across the surrounding flat fields. Closer inspection reveals a functional arrangement of spaces finished in rough cast render. Historic Buildings Records indicate the school's date of construction is circa 1960. The building is currently in use as a school and is owned by the Education Board.
