This is a farmhouse complex, built around 1790, located in Ballymaclary, Magilligan, County Londonderry. It represents a type of farmhouse once common in the Magilligan area, characterised by a long, linear arrangement aligned with the prevailing wind. The width of the buildings is notable, being greater than that typically found in Inishowen or the Sperrins.

The complex comprises a former thatched cottage with a steeply pitched corrugated metal roof and a long adjoining wing of barns of similar height. The building faces northwest, parallel to the nearby sand dunes. A significant modern barn with a curved metal roof sits within the front courtyard. The original cottage is harled and whitewashed, featuring a sheeted door and three chimneys. It has side-hung casement windows. A return to the rear of the building includes a flat roof, a door, and four small windows.

The building is indicated on an Ordnance Survey map dating to 1831 and has remained in the possession of a single family, who also owned a nearby pub. The thatched roof was replaced in the 1950s, and the roof structure was altered around the same time. While originally a thatched cottage, alterations to the property preclude it from being listed.
